February 24, 2014 (Dallas, TX) — Visitors to the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum will have the opportunity to experience two special exhibits in 2014: The Art of Leadership: A President’s Personal Diplomacy and All Creatures Great and Small: Christmas at the White House 2002.
The Art of Leadership: A President’s Personal Diplomacy will explore the relationships that President George W. Bush forged with world leaders to shape international policy and advance American interests abroad. Opening in early April 2014, the exhibit will feature more than two dozen never-before-exhibited portraits painted by President Bush. Portraits will be accompanied by artifacts, photographs, and personal reflections to help illustrate the stories of relationships formed on the world stage.
The Art of Leadership: A President’s Personal Diplomacy will educate and inform visitors about the important role leadership plays in global diplomacy, and will provide an insider’s view into President Bush’s unique relationships with other world leaders.
All Creatures Great and Small: Christmas at the White House 2002 will be the second in a series of exhibits that serve as the foundation for holiday celebrations at the Bush Center. In 2002, the White House Christmas theme celebrated the important role animals play in the White House. Highlights will include indigenous bird ornaments designed by artists from around the country, replicas of First Family pets that were displayed throughout the White House, and the first edition of Barney Cam, a much loved tradition through all of the President and Mrs. Bush’s time in Washington, DC.
All Creatures Great and Small: Christmas at the White House 2002 will open in late November, 2014.
