Kelly H. Compton

Kelly Compton, Executive Director of The Hoglund Foundation, is responsible for the management of all areas of operations.  The mission of The Hoglund Foundation is to improve the lives of Dallas families and children by partnering with organizations that provide education and family support services. Prior to joining The Hoglund Foundation, Ms. Compton was with NationsBank Texas and its predecessors and was Vice President of Commercial Lending.  Since 2016, Ms. Compton has served on the Board of Directors for Atmos Energy Corporation, the nation’s largest fully regulated natural gas-only distributor.

Ms. Compton graduated cum laude from SMU with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration specializing in Finance. She currently serves as Secretary of the Board of Trustees for SMU and is Chair of the Trusteeship Committee. Additionally, she is Vice Chair of the Dedman College Executive Board. She is past President of the SMU Alumni Association.

Ms. Compton has served on the Board of Trustees for The Perot Museum of Nature & Science, The Hockaday School, the Episcopal School of Dallas, St. Michael’s School, Momentous Institute and the Advisory Boards for Teach for America and Prison Entrepreneurship Program. Additionally, Ms. Compton is a member of The Charter 100 and International Women’s Forum.
