Amy Powers, Regional Director, Donor Relations, joined the George W. Bush Presidential Center in May of 2023. In this role, she is focused on supporting the Bush Center’s work through development and fundraising activities, primarily in Texas and the Mid-Atlantic region.
Before joining the Bush Center, Powers served as Chief Operating Officer at a mental health non-profit organization with locations throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. In this role, she led the organization to build a diverse team of stakeholders and commercial insurance partners who actively affirmed and recognized an increased value for mental health services. Powers developed her financial services experience during her decade-plus years at Fidelity Investments, serving in various roles, including Vice President with institutional retirement plan services. After her work at Fidelity, she embarked on a new and exciting career as a middle school English Language Arts teacher and Instructional Team Leader at Highland Park Middle School in Dallas.
Powers received her B.B.A. in Marketing and Management from Baylor University and an M.B.A. from the University of Dallas. She and her husband, Phillip, have lived in Dallas for 30 years and have twin daughters.
