Abbey Batchelder serves as Associate, Global Policy at the George W. Bush Presidential Center. In this role, she works on the Bush Institute’s Freedom and Democracy work, including the planning and execution of various programs, publications, and events.
Prior to joining the Bush Center, she worked in operations for the Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance helping state, local, and tribal law enforcement jurisdictions promote fair and safe criminal justice systems.
Batchelder has a B.A. in Latin American Studies and Communication Studies from Texas Christian University, and an M.A. in Security Policy Studies from the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University.
