Sharon McMahon Headlines The Small and the Mighty Book Tour in a Special Edition of Engage at the Bush Center, Presented by NexPoint

No.1 New York Times bestselling author, hit podcast host, social media creator, and “America’s Government Teacher” Sharon McMahon will discuss the champions of American democracy and ideals at SMU’s McFarlin Auditorium

DALLAS, TEXAS – The George W. Bush Presidential Center will host Sharon McMahon: The Small and the Mighty Book Tour on Oct. 9, at Engage at the Bush Center, presented by NexPoint. The event will be held in McFarlin Auditorium on SMU’s campus. McMahon, known as “@SharonSaysSo” on social media, will share insights and lessons of some of our nation’s unsung heroes who have been consequential to advancing the country’s freedom.

The former government teacher’s first book, which published Sept. 24 and is already No.1 on the New York Times Best Seller list, tells the stories of 12 ordinary Americans who created extraordinary impact in our country during challenging times, ultimately changing the trajectory of U.S. history.

During the two-hour event, McMahon will also have a conversation with Ken Hersh, President and CEO of the Bush Center, and explore themes like working across differences, civility, and the importance of developing the leaders who will continue to move our country forward – ideas the George W. Bush Institute is focused on through its Strengthening Our Democracy work.
