The Catalyst: A Journal of Ideas From the Bush Institute, won first prize in the Editor and Publisher’s annual EPPY Awards for the category Best Magazine Website under 1 million unique views.
This week it was announced that The Catalyst: A Journal of Ideas From the Bush Institute, won first prize in the Editor and Publisher’s annual EPPY Awards for the category Best Magazine Website under 1 million unique views. This is the second year the Bush Institute has won the award, the first being in 2019.
The Catalyst is a quarterly publication that operates from the belief that ideas matter. They shape public policies, spur action, and lead to results. Each issue presents compelling essays that address a central question or theme. Along with Bush Institute directors and fellows, The Catalyst convenes leading experts and writers, as well as new and rising voices, to address each topic.
“Clear organization of themes brings the best of magazine packaging online,” the EPPY judges said. “Unique design, smart writing, enough details to maintain interest.”
The Catalyst hears from people of different political persuasions to present ways for America to become a stronger, more prosperous, and caring country. This year, the journal explored topics on Restoring Trust in Institutions, Ukraine, and Creating a More Perfect Union. Guest authors included former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, former Senator Joseph Lieberman, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Senior Fellow Rachel Kleinfeld; German Marshall Fund Senior Fellow Laura Thornton; and former Representative Will Hurd.
We hope the ideas presented in The Catalyst will lead to freer societies around the world, open markets that promote growth and opportunity, compassionate institutions that serve individuals, and a vigorous yet respectful American role in the world.
