Acclaimed children’s book author Roda Ahmed headlines the Engage at the Bush Center, Presented by NexPoint program with a reading of Mae Among the Stars and a lively, family-friendly discussion on following your dreams. We have activities for kids of all ages to encourage them to dream big.

Various arts and crafts coloring activities will be available for all ages to create their own Mae Among the Stars keepsakes.
Mae Among the Stars tells the story of Mae Jemison, whose curiosity and determination as a child led to her becoming the first Black woman to travel into space.
