Join us for Engage at the Bush Center, presented by Highland Capital Management. As a companion event to the Bush Center’s work on leadership development, The Art & Leadership of Winston Churchill discussed what made Churchill an effective leader and how those lessons can be applied to today’s most pressing issues. This special evening was enhanced by the exhibition of a number of Churchill’s paintings with another leading artist delivering opening remarks, President George W. Bush — who also unveiled a series of new portraits of Churchill.
Bush Institute executive director Holly Kuzmich moderated a panel of the foremost experts on the leadership of Winston Churchill, including:
- Allen Packwood, director of the Churchill Archives Centre at Cambridge
- David Reynolds, noted British historian and documentary filmmaker
- David Woolner, senior fellow and resident historian of the Roosevelt Institute and author of the acclaimed new book, The Last 100 Days: FDR at War and at Peace.
Engage guests will enjoy the rare opportunity to see Churchill’s artwork in person. Trustee and Advisor to the Board of The International Churchill Society Lee Pollock will be on hand before the program to answer questions and share information about Churchill the artist.
