The Bush Center welcomed actor Christopher Jackson, Tony Award-nominated for originating the role of George Washington in Broadway’s Hamilton, for a lively conversation on the phenomenon that has propelled Alexander Hamilton and our Founding Fathers into the pop culture mainstream. Jackson, currently co-starring in the popular CBS series, Bull, will be joined onstage by filmmaker Alex Horwitz, director of the PBS special Hamilton’s America, and Yale historian and Hamilton expert Joanne Freeman.
The program featured clips from Hamilton’s America, which included interviews with President and Mrs. Bush, Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and scenes from the Broadway production.
