Mrs. Laura W. Bush will speak about leadership and women’s empowerment on International Women’s Day as the George W. Bush Institute expands the Women’s Initiative Fellowship Program (WIFP) and celebrates the accomplishments of the first fellowship class from Egypt. A panel discussion with these female leaders from Egypt will highlight the importance of empowering women to lead around the world.
The year-long program helps women in the Middle East develop the necessary skills to be a force for change. The International Women’s Day event will signify the completion of the 2012 program and the commencement of the 2013 program.
