President George W. Bush will host the 6th annual Warrior 100K (W100K), a 100-kilometer mountain bike ride for United States military personnel seriously wounded or injured since September 11, 2001. This private event took place at President and Mrs. Bush’s ranch in Crawford, Texas, from September 29- October 1.

The Bush Institute’s W100K spotlights the role of sport in recovery for our post-9/11 veterans and honors their bravery and sacrifice.

While at this year’s Invictus Games in Orlando, FL, President Bush hosted a Symposium on the Invisible Wounds of War, such as post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury, an event that coincided with the George W. Bush Institute’s launch of its Veteran Wellness Initiative. Committed to addressing the issues our post-9/11 veterans face, the Bush Institute will release a policy report later this fall that makes recommendations on treating the invisible wounds of war.

Patty Collins, a Paralympian who recently competed at the Paralympics in Rio De Janiero, will participate again in this year’s ride.  In total, 16 warriors will join President Bush on the three-day trek.  They include:
