On October 9-11, 2011 the George W. Bush Institute hosted the inaugural Warrior Open, a golf tournament featuring U.S. servicemen and women severely wounded in the global war on terror.
As part of the George W. Bush Presidential Center’s Military Service Initiative, the Warrior Open highlighted the bravery and physical strength of the warriors wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan, as well as those organizations that have made continuing commitments to supporting America’s heroes.
