President George W. Bush has dedicated much of his post-presidency to honoring our nation’s post – 9/11 veterans and helping them make a smooth transition to civilian life, including addressing the invisible wounds of war. Through the Bush Institute’s Military Service Initiative, President Bush has assembled a special group of wounded warriors that are especially close to his heart, Team 43.
President Bush has combined his appreciation for our veterans with his favorite hobby – painting. He joined us to speak about his book Portraits of Courage, chatting alongside some of the subjects of his paintings, members of Team 43.
